Frequently Asked Questions

What date does my subscription delivery begin?

It's difficult to know exactly when our flowers will begin to bloom, based on the weather. We expect our Bud Vase Subscription delivery to begin on the second Thursday in June. You will receive an email confirmation one week prior to the first delivery.

Do I have to be present for delivery?

Someone must be present at the delivery location to accept the delivery. If nobody is available you may pickup the Bud Vases at our Farm in LaGrange or we may be able to deliver later for a fee.

Do I need to supply vases?

No, you do not need to supply the vases. Your arrangements will be delivered table-ready. We select vases that are shorter with a wide base for stability.

What if we break a vase?

Each Bud Vase Subscription requires a $100 refundable deposit. We will deduct $10 from your deposit refund for each broken vase.

How big is each arrangement?

Our Bud Vase Arrangements are designed with your busy restaurant in mind. Each arrangement typically includes 3-5 stems in a stable vase that doesn't tip over easily. The overall height is usually less than 12 inches

Will each Bouquet be unique?

The thing I love most about flowers is their incredible variety of colors, shapes, textures, and fragrances. The blooms used in your Arrangements will vary throughout the season as flowers fade and new ones come into bloom. We generally use one design for all Arrangements in a given week to achieve a cohesive look in your space.

Can I choose the flowers in my bouquet?

Sorry, I can't promise a specific color palette or flower will be available in any given week. But I do keep your decor in mind when selecting the flowers for your weekly Arrangements.

How do I maintain the Arrangements?

Subscription Arrangements are made using flowers that were cut the day before pickup to ensure that you have the longest vase life possible! That said, we strongly recommend you change the water every other day. A best practice is to visit each table, pitch the old water into a bus pan and pour in an inch or two of fresh water. It only takes minutes and will vastly extend the vase life of the blooms. If any blooms fade prematurely, remove them from the arrangement, and let me know so I can reconsider whether I want to use them in the future.

Why not buy flowers at the local market and have my staff arrange them?

Those store-bought blooms are usually grown with lots of chemicals and poor labor practices. They are several days old by the time they are available in the store, so they probably won't last a full week. By the time you shop; gather and wash vases; and clean, cut, and arrange the stems, it would be more cost effective to have table-ready arrangements delivered to your door. Plus they will be far more beautiful and unique. And you'll be supporting a local, woman-owned farm!

Can I cancel my pre-paid subscription?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for a cancelled subscription. Subscriptions are sold in advance of the season so we can plan our crop, order seeds, and start growing them weeks before they will be ready to cut to ensure we have them available for our Subscribers. Once you order, your flowers are "in production" and therefore cannot be refunded.

What if you have a crop failure and flowers are not available?

In farming, stuff happens. Mother nature is the boss and if She sends us a hail storm or insect infestation it can destroy a flower crop. We use best practices to avoid such calamity, but we will ensure that you receive 16 deliveries.
